Scarborough should aim to embrace its environment through the introduction of a vibrant mix of streets, footpaths and open nodal spaces attracting the local community and the visitors with year-round facilities. The town can be reinvented as a future tourist destination to enhance service sector jobs and high-density modern mixed-use development. This will result in potential investment and capitalistic opportunities for the town’s existing harbour. It aspires for a long-term vision of having built forms and open spaces; where the community can celebrate locally sourced food fish and its outstanding nautical views.
